Monday starts

Well, the boys have six days off, Thursday was cancelled for a snow day, the snow was so light, i could see my grass.   Then Friday there was another threat of a snow storm, so they cancelled it again....all day, we saw maybe 50 snowflakes.  Now they are off for two days for grading period.  Six days off...oh my gosh, we better not have to make up those two days, i will not be amused.
Ben had lego robotics over the weekend, they did well enough to make it to states.   Very exciting.  He was so cute...until he got a migraine, then he was miserable.    Nathan and i volunteered for the event, Tim was supposed to, but he was so sick with the flu, we kept him home.  Actually, we pretty much locked him in his bedroom all week long.  On Saturday morning, he woke up, went to the boys and said, do you remember who i am?  I am your dad.
Way too funny,
I continue to write Andrew.   He still hears voices in his head.   I can't imagine his life.
I am making hats and scarves, and hope to sell them at a craft fair. Many of them are sports colors, i think they will sell well, and am making some cute colored ones.
I enjoy it to keep busy and it would be nice to make a profit doing something i enjoy.
Tina just celebrated her fifth anniversary, tim and i are heading to our 20th.
Work has its good and bad moments....like a roller coaster ride....this would be a lower point.   But i do see a light at the end of the tunnel...i think...who wants to be an optimist anymore?  I think i have decided to be an pessimist, i hate getting slammed down when i think better of situations and people.
Wow, that was cynical.

Sick hubby, son with migraine, son with backpain

Okay, maybe i deserve this....after a year of my family waiting on me, taking care of me when i had the surgery, procedures, migraines, whatever, they have been there for me....and now i have Tim down with the worst flu i have ever seen.  Seriously, i have NEVER seen him this sick.  He barely wants to move.   I got a call from Ben, he had a migraine and ONCE AGAIN, the nurse was not in the school when he needed her.  Now, FINALLY, we have gotten the help we need for him.  The middle school and the elementary school are sharing a building and there are two nurses, one of each "school."   the LGES nurse has been there for Nate, and i asked the school to allow her to take care of Ben.  No...we don't want the middle school kids in with the elementary kids...really?  They SHARE THE SCHOOL!!  But today, i think they all realized how insane this has become.   I have been called to that school so many times because of his headaches and the inability to find a nurse.  What is worse, if he doesn't get the meds quickly, it becomes a FULL BLOWN migraine and he is down for hours.  So, today, they had me sign a paper allowing Tammy to take care of him.  HAPPY TIME!!
Nate has been complaining of back problems, which we were told that is it because he is growing too fast, and his knees hurt, too.
What a week...but hey, i feel pretty good!!

Happy Saturday

Well, as normal, we had another crazy saturday morning.   Ben said he had to go to UVA today for a lego event...i texted Simon Gray, but fell asleep before he answered. This morning at 5am i got the message and yanked Tim and Ben out of bed and they were on their way in 15 minutes.  So glad i wake up everyday at 5am.    Now i hope they made it there on time.

I am feeling better, i still am tired so fast, last night i fell asleep at 5pm.   I think i was asleep in about twenty minutes, it felt so good just to lay down.

So the past week, all i have been doing is crocheting and sitting in front of the fireplace, i can't do much more than that. I do get all the firewood, wow have i been stocking up on firewood, I am going to work with Nate today to get more organization, i hate the way it looks all over my drive way.
I figure Nate is going to argue with me and want to play games, so i will have to bribe the kid.  What else is new?

Ben has to work on his science project that was supposed to be done all weekend....but he will have all of tonight and tomorrow to work on it, so let's see how that goes.   He has most of it done, so it is just a matter of putting it together.   The fun just never ends in this house.  Nate is doing poorly and it is really starting to affect him.  He is feeling upset with himself.   Luckily, he has a great case manager and we will get through this.   i hope.   Somehow i see summer school coming up.  I am annoyed at his teachers, who aren't living up to the IEP.   They are supposed to contact me every week...they aren't.
GRRRRRRR.  But he is staying late every day to work on his work, so that is good for him.  He does like Mrs.  Dean, and he will respond to her in a way he won't talk to me.

Off to do wood, of course, he has already said he would rather go back to bed.  I love this boy.

Nate and Mom sick

Well, Nate decided to join in being sick, and he is so miserable.  He was vomiting last night, so he is going to be home today.  I am going to have my lungs x-ray this afternoon.  My head is aching, and the coughing just adds to the misery.
Ben is working on his organization, he is just like his dad, and has a wicked problem keeping all his papers together.   So, we bought him a new notebook with lots of folders, let's see if that works.

Problems at work, not going to be working for the job i was working on, and now haven't picked up another one.   Scary, i am working one hour next week.  I was told to be patient, it will work out, it has to, i am going to be broke and we just can't afford that.
Back to work, my last day of full time.   Wonder if i am going to be applying for a job at food lion.

connecting google and my blog

Gosh, i hope this worked.

Sick, so sick

Oh my gosh, i can't take it anymore.  From gall stones, to removing my gall bladder to now having pneumonia....i am so tired of being tired.   I am trying to stay hydrated so i don't end up back in hospital, but my lungs are killing me.   Worse, my neck and head ache from all the coughing.

Kids are doing good, Nate came home with the great news that he passed his writing SOL.   Thanks to Shelly Dean, who is taking the time to work with him after school, he is doing better and seems to really enjoy staying after.   HAPPY TIME.

Ben is working on two projects, science and social studies.   And playing trumpet.

I miss my girls.  Talina lives down the road, but due to her insane schedule, we don't see her often.  Jenn bounces between Alabama and Buffalo.

I never expected to be second best parent, but that is how i feel right now.  Talina lives with HIS parents and Jenn prefers HIS parents.   Hard to cope with.

Still writing Andrew Harris, i try to write him twice a week and hope he isn't sick of my rambling yet.   He is almost better than a diary.

I am learning to make hats..i plan to make a lot of them and scarves and try to sell them.
