The boys won't stop growing

Jeepers, Nate is so tall, he looks down on me and laughs when i am trying to have a serious conversation with him...i admit, i laugh, too.   How did my little boy grow so tall?   Ben is losing that little boy look, his face is becoming more mature, and it just....wow, it kills me.   How did my household of kids just disappear? 

Borrowed a book from the Library, I brake for yard sales...don't brake for the book, it stunk.  

Yesterday, Dani Amoruso came over, it was so nice seeing her.   She wanted to learn to make an infinity scarf, i think she will soon be addicted to crocheting.   I forwarded her the coupon from AC Moore that i got in the email..fun time.  

I have to make a blanket for Shayna Connell, who has decided to keep her baby, and for Cheyenne, who will know what she is having in a few weeks.   Also still trying to finish all my Christmas gifts.   This is insane, but oh so much fun.  This is the first time i ever trying making a blanket this size.  I am going to learn to make flowers, add a few of them to the blanket, i love it, i feel so talented.

Now, if the boys would just stop growing.

Healing

Wow, i am feeling it today.  Didn't yesterday, but wow, yes today.   My family will be going to the church tonight to work with the homeless.  It is important that my sons see what they have, compared to what some don't.
Nathan is complaining about back pain, so he will be at a doctor this week.
Oh, and our car died.
Surprise, surprise.

Long Weekend

Well, Thanksgiving weekend was lovely.   The only thing we didn't do is decorate, but the boys spent ALL of saturday working on my firewood.   Since i plan to start working in the bedroom, where the fireplace is, this is a good thing!
Tonight i will have the sciatica procedure, was supposed to be last week, and it was postponed after the electricity went out in half of culpeper. 

Ugh, that stunk.

Ben is still playing trumpet, Nate is in the JROTC, life is good.

Jenn is working hard at graduate school...Talina is in college....how dare my girls grow up?

We might get snow tomorrow...one can only hope!! 
Off to do laundry.

Procedure

Time for another procedure to see if they can stop the pain.  My hip is so bad, there are times i can't walk.  Walking for 10 minutes, the twinges start, but 15 minutes the pain is full blown and it stays until it decides to go away.

The boys are ALL home for Thanksgiving and will be chopping wood for me.  LOVE IT.  I can never have enough fire wood.  In the cold winter, when i am home alone, i turn the heat way down, and work in the bedroom.   Right now we are all watching a Lara Croft movie while i work.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, no family or friends this year, Tim has decided to eat out!

Well, we survived the storm without any damage, but it is horrifying to see the damage caused on Long Island.  I have seen pictures of Bellport, the dock that i knew so well seem destroyed.  I feel almost guilty, i was looking forward to a good storm and was bummed when it missed us then i see the pictures of NYC and LI and am grateful it did.
I still haven't been able to reach Annie, Jeff or Glenn.   That worries me.

Sunday 11.4

What a great day at church today.   We had a great sermon, and i just LOVE the drives to and from church.   The boys and i talk and laugh and just have a great time.   It has become a treasured part of my week.   Then we came home and Ben started vomiting.   I think he ate something just got him, no fever, nothing else, just absolutely miserable.   But a few hours later, he woke up and was fine.   He was THRILLED, because i found his bin full of hoodies.  In his mind, all is well if he has his hoodies!!  He would wear them all year long. 
Now it is football time....it is so funny, but Tim and i are finding ourselves on opposite teams each game.  
On Tuesday i will be working Voter Registration.   I love it.   I want to be part of the elections, but not part of a party, this is the best way for me to do it. 
I love my Zorro, and of course i had to humiliate the dog.
